Here is the truth. I didn't create this chord progression pack to sell it as a product. I created it for myself and for my private students. But it turned out so good that I thought I needed to share this.

I wanted to learn how successful songwriters create chord progressions, but I didn't find any books, courses, or Youtube videos where they would explain these things to me. All the books and videos on songwriting and music theory is very outdated. If you create songs with those methods, your music will sound really outdated.

So I actually had to go through hundreds of songs to figure out the concept behind the chord progressions. This included songs from Max Martin, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Adele, Kygo, Zedd, Sia, and many other songwriters who made successful songs the past 10 years.

When it comes to music, I don't believe in rules. We can use literally anything if it sounds good. But what I'm always looking for is: what is typical.

So I came up with a formula of how they typically write chord progressions today. What came out from this formula is incredibly interesting: besides creating hundreds of chord combinations, the formula actually recreated the chord progressions of some of the most successful songs. (Just one example: the formula recreated the chord progression of "Shape Of You" by Ed Sheean.)

There are 55 chord progressions, separated into four groups:

1. Chord progressions you can use in Verses, Pre-Choruses, and Choruses.

2. Chord progressions you can use only in Pre-Choruses and Choruses.

3. Chord progressions you can use only in Pre-Choruses.

4. Chord progressions you can use only in Choruses.

Here are a few examples of how you can combine these (there are much more combinations than you would think at first):

- You can take a chord progression from the first group, and use it in the entire song (verse, pre-chorus, chorus).

- You can take two or three chord progressions from the first group, and use them in different parts of the song.

- You can use a chord progression from the first group for the verse, and use chord progressions from the other groups for the other parts of the song.
